Gmail Paper?

Google_Mail_Beta_logo

Ever wondered how Google get the idea of

Gmail Paper ?

Well, I read an article today and found a possible source of the idea.

Gmail/Google Mail is a free email service provided by Google. But before Gmail (from Google) was announce, there are already many company using Gmail as their service name/ or company name. One of the example is Garfield.com, it once provide free email, namely gmail and used the gmail.com. But the email service had been discontinued since Garfield's web site move to another domain.

In Germany, Gmail is officially called Google Mail. It is because there is a company named 'G-mail'. The company provide the service of printing the email send by customer and then send the print-out by mail to intended recipients.

So, I think Google got the Gmail Paper idea from 'G-mail'.

For people who don't know Gmail Paper:

It is one of Google's April Fool's Day joke in 2007. You just need to click a button, Gmail will print the selected email(s) and then mail them to you.

Watch TV on Internet !/ Make Your Own TV Channel !

logo

Introducing TVUPlayer! This new player allows you to potentially watch any television channel in the world on your PC. It uses P2PTV technology.

Channels featured on TVUPlayer currently include Cartoon Network (CH,EN), ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, some CCTV channel, Disney and more, including sports channels.

This already impressive lineup of channels is available from any internet enabled PC in the world and could expand to include many more channels.

The system works where one person records live TV and streams it to the internet. This stream is then redistributed by other people who are watching the channel.

Because all the channels on TVUPlayer are broadcast by individuals who already have access to the TV station, there is always a chance that a channel can just disapear out of nowhere when that person decides to stop broadcasting to the internet.

Pros:

  • Easy To Use
  • Potentially get channels from anywhere in the world
  • Easy way to get CBS, ABC, Fox, Comedy Central etc if you are not in the US
  • Most channels have good quality and can be viewed full screen
  • It is free
  • Has an online program guide to see what’s on

Cons:

  • Potentially illegal and will probably face legal action if it gets popular, will have to wait and see if it survives
  • Channels take quite a while to get started
  • Some channels are poor quality
  • No pause, on demand video, rewind, recording features etc.
  • TV streams are slightly behind the live broadcast
  • Channels can disappear at anytime if someone stops broadcasting them

Airport Mania!

airportmania

Just release today! And for mac too (early June / late May!)

Airport Mania is a click-management type game (such as Diner Dash)But this time it takes place in airports!                                       You're also not focusing on only one people now...but many (planes)

Of course the goal of the game was not to create a multi-tasking nightmare!  After all, most of us get a little stressed out when we have more things to do than we can handle at any one time.  To combat the feeling of being over-whelmed, Airport Mania has been created with a lot of light-hearted fun in mind.  The focus behind making the game was to create a game that would make people smile, laugh, relax and simply enjoy themselves.

Combining the excitement of travel with the frantic action of air traffic control, Airport Mania is full of character. From the expressions and voices of the planes to the awards room filled with riddles, every aspect of the game has been created to be entertaining and enjoyable. The game play is full of surprises including in-air emergencies and events, like the arrival of the President's Plane, that require immediate attention. Also included are multiple goal levels and a secret hidden Paper Planes mode.
Developed in a partnership with South Winds Games (www.southwindsgames.com ), Airport Mania has been created with a focus on fun. "There are a lot of different types of games out there for a lot of different people," said Airport Mania Designer Russell Carroll. "In creating Airport Mania, I wanted to create a game that would make people smile and have fun. For me, there are few things more rewarding than seeing something you've created put a smile on someone else's face.

Google Talk, Labs Edition

Google Talk team just released a “Labs Edition” of Google Talk, which is pretty much similar to the desktop version of Google Talk Gadget with notification for new messages from Google Calendar and Orkut, in additional to Gmail in the original Google Talk.talk_logo It has many of the same features as the Google Talk Gadget, including instant messaging, emoticons, and group chat. But sadly, some features like file transfer and voicemail from the Google Talk client did not make it into this version.
Currently, Google Talk Labs Edition is only available for Windows PCs. Now Windows users have four different flavors of Google Talk: the original client, Gmail Chat, the gadget and the Labs edition.

Choose the one that best suits your needs.

Photoshop For iPhone!

ps4iphone

Photoshop is one of the most popular image-editing software, and there are lots of hopes out there. Some of them include: Photoshop for other platforms. This video realizes one of those situations, and discuses the features that could be included if Photoshop were released for the iPhone.

Who would thought Adobe Photoshop for the iPhone could be so interesting, or funny?

The video is a really well done spoof, and it would be really hilarious if they actually did release a version like that… but one can only hope.

Beware, installing Adobe Photoshop in your iPhone will void your warranty, aspazzarently - Gizmodo.com
